Updates on COVID-19 in Republic of Korea

○ As of 0:00, 28 June 2020, the total number of confirmed cases is 12,715 (including 1,550 imported cases), of which 11,364 cases have been discharged from isolation. 40 cases are from the community and 22 are imported cases.

○ Of the 22 new imported cases, 3 are from Americas, 1 is from Europe, and 18 are from Asia excluding China (4 from Saudi Arabia, 1 from Kuwait, 2 from Pakistan, 2 from Bangladesh, 1 from India, 2 from Kyrgyzstan, 1 from Kazakhstan, 1 from Indonesia, 1 from Malaysia, and 3 from Turkey).
□ As of 12:00 28 June, confirmed cases and their chain of transmissions are as below.
* Figures may differ from table 1 due to difference in data collection time.
○ Related to Richway, Gwanak-gu, Seoul city, 2 additional cases were confirmed, who were contacts under quarantine. In total 207 cases* have been confirmed.
* Visitors = 41; Contacts = 166 / Seoul = 119; Gyeonggi = 57; Incheon = 24; Gangwon = 4; Chungnam = 3
○ Related to Wangsung church (congregation of 1,715), Gwanak-gu, Seoul city, 8 additional cases were confirmed. In total, 27* cases have been confirmed. As a result of epidemiological investigation, 1,963 people are under testing.

○ Related to a gathering at the Yeoksamg-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, 2 additional cases were confirmed. In total, 13* cases have been confirmed.
* Seoul = 8; Gyeonggi = 4; Ulsan = 1
○ Related to Lord Glory church(congregation of 80), Manan-gu, Anyang-city, Gyeonggi province, 7 additional cases were confirmed. In total, 18 cases(including index patient) have been confirmed.
○ Related to Central Baptist church (congregation of 9,000), Suwon city, Gyeonggi province, 3 new cases were confirmed. 717 people worshipped at the church on the same days (17, 19, 21 and 24 June) as the confirmed cases. Classification of contacts and investigation on the chain of transmission are underway.

○ Related to a neighborhood gathering at Sujung-gu, Sungnam-city, Gyeonggi province, 1 additional case were confirmed. In total, 7 cases have been confirmed.
○ Related to a car enthusiast club meeting held on in Youngdungpo-gu Han River area in Seoul, 1 additional case with symptoms were confirmed who were under self-quarantine. In total, 6 cases have been confirmed.
○ Related to door-to-door sales in Seo-gu, Daejeon City, 3 additional case was confirmed. In total, 78* cases have been confirmed.
