Updates on COVID-19 in Republic of Korea

□ As of 0:00, 26 July 2020, the total number of confirmed cases is 14,150 (including 2,290 imported cases), of which 12,890 cases have been discharged from isolation. There are 12 new local cases, 46 new imported cases, and 0 new death.

□ The current state* of major local clusters as of today (as of 12:00, 26 July) are as follows:
* The specific figures below may differ from the daily reported statistics (which are based on figures as of 0:00 today) or figures disclosed by local municipalities due to factors such as report timing and differences in the time period considered
○ Related to the Gangseo Central Day Care Center in Gangseo-gu, Seoul City, 1 additional case (facility user) was confirmed. In total, 25* cases have been confirmed.
* Facility users = 17 cases, facility users’ family members = 3 cases, acquaintances = 4 cases, trainee = 1 case
○ Related to the Gwanak-gu Office, 1 additional case (family member) was confirmed. In total, 37* cases have been confirmed.
* By region: Seoul 13 cases, Gyeonggi 5 cases, Jeonbuk 2 cases, Jeju 5 cases, Gwangju 11 cases, Jeonnam 1 case
○ Related to the Personl Information Protection Commission at Seoul Government Complex Building in Jongro-gu, 17 are being isolated and including them, 57 are all being tested.
* By region: Seoul 42 cases, Gyeonggi 15 cases (among 57, 50 tested negative and 7 are being tested)
○ Related to Russian Vessel (PETR 1) anchored at Shinsun harbor, Busan City, with 1 additional repairman got confirmed, raising the number of the regional accumulated confirmed cases to 9.
□ As of 0:00, 26 July, there were 46 imported cases, of which, 42 were confirmed at the point of entry, and 4 were confirmed in the community while in mandatory self-quarantine after arrival. The 46 cases consisted of 43 Korean nationals and 3 foreign nationals.
○ The (presumed) location of infection acquisition of the 46 new imported cases are: Americas (4) (US 4) and Asia excluding China (42) (Iraq 38, Russia 2, India 1, Hong Kong 1).
