During the vacation period, time spent at academies and the usage of publicly used facilities such as PC cafes and karaokes may increase, which may become vulnerable to COVID-19 transmission and cause setbacks in disease containment progress.

- KCDC introduced the 3 do’s and 3 don’ts for having a healthy and safe vacation and preventing COVID-19 and asked that people follow these guidelines:

- 3 do’s:

Wear a mask when indoors or using public transportation, including in academies (hagwons)

* Completely cover your mouth and nose, do not touch the surface of your mask, wash your hands before and after putting on a mask

Use hand sanitizers or often wash your hands with soap and running water for more than 30 seconds

Maintain a 2m distance (1m minimum) from others

- 3 don’ts:

Do not go outdoors if you feel sick, including when you have a fever or a cough

Do not visit closed, crowded, and close-contact settings (3C’s), such as PC cafes and karaokes

Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands

KCDC reminded the public that the transmission of COVID-19 can occur in all closed, crowded, and close-contact facilities, and asked that people refrain from visiting publicly used facilities, such as entertainment venues, karaokes, and PC cafes.

KCDC asked that COVID-19 prevention guidelines, such as wearing a mask, handwashing and 2m distancing, be always kept in everyday life.
