As of 0:00, 29 July 2020, the total number of confirmed cases is 14,251 (including 2,363 imported cases), of which 13,069 cases have been discharged from isolation. There are 14 new local cases, 34 new imported cases, and 0 new deaths.

The current state* of major local clusters as of today (as of 12:00, 29 July) are as follows:

* The specific figures below may differ from the daily reported statistics (which are based on figures as of 0:00 today) or figures disclosed by local municipalities due to factors such as report timing and differences in the time period considered

 

Related to Shinmyung Investment company in Jongro-gu, Seoul City, 2 additional cases were confirmed. In total, 12* cases have been confirmed.

* Index case = 1; friends, acquaintances, etc = 5 cases; related to Shinmyung Investment company = 6 cases

 

Related to the Seoul City Hall case, all 32 contacts tested negative. Of the 164 workers on the 11th floor, 51 tested negative, and the rest are being tested. Of the people who visited 11th floor frequently, preemptive testing is underway for 163 people who indicated that they’d like to be tested.

 

Related to the Russian vessel PETR 1, docked at Busan Harbor, 1 additional case (repairman) was confirmed. In total, 11* cases have been confirmed in the local community.

* Repairmen = 9 cases, family/household members = 2 cases

 

As of 0:00, 29 July, there were 34 imported cases, of which, 21 were confirmed at the point of entry, and 13 were confirmed in the community while in mandatory self-quarantine after arrival. 12 were Korean nationals and 22 foreign nationals.

 

The (presumed) location of infection acquisition of the 34 new imported cases are: Americas (8) (US 8), Europe (1), and Asia excluding China (25).
