Trends in proportion of Korean adolescents engaged in physical activities, 2009-2018
The proportion of adolescents engaged in physical activities rose from 10.9% in 2009 to 13.9% in 2018, with the increase of 3.0 percentage point (%p). The 2018 data indicated that the proportion was 2.9 fold higher in boys (20.3%) than in schoolgirls (7.1%) (Figure A), and was also 1.5 fold higher in middle school students (16.8%) than in high school students (11.5%) (Figure B).
