Trends in the prevalence of psychological stress among Korean adolescents, 2007-2018

The prevalence of psychological stress among Korean adolescents dropped from 46.5% in 2007 to 40.4% in 2018 by 6.1 percentage points (%p). It showed to be downward between 2007 and 2015, and turned upward between 2015 and 2018. The 2018 data indicated that schoolgirls (49.5%) felt more stress than schoolboys (32.0%) (Figure A), and high school students (43.4%) had the higher rate than middle school students (37.0%) (Figure B).
