Trends in percentage of Korean adolescents who experienced depression, 2007-2018
The percentage of Korean adolescents who experienced depression dropped from 41.3% in 2007 to 27.1% in 2018 by a decrease of 14.2 percentage points (%p). Based on the 2018 data, the percentage was 1.6 fold higher in schoolgirls (33.6%) than schoolboys (21.1%), and high school students (28.7%) had the higher percentage than middle school students (25.2%) (Figure A, B).
