International comparison of daily smoking rate, OECD countries, 2016 (or nearest year)

According to the OECD health statistics 2018, the average daily smoking rate among 34 member countries was 18.5% (men 23.0%, women 14.4%) as of 2016. The Korea’s daily smoking rate among men was 32.9%, ranking the fourth highest among OECD countries, and the rate among women was 4.1%, the lowest after Mexico (3.6%) (Figure A).
