Percentage of Korean adults with limited oral function, 2007-2017
The percentage of Korean adults with limited oral function (≥ 19 years and over) had dropped from 30.7% in 2007 to 16.9% in 2017 (an decrease of 13.8 percentage points [%p]) (Figure A). The 2017 data indicated that the percentage went up as the age increased, and in particular, that of the elderly aged 70 years and over was 48.8%, showing that 1 out of 2 had limitations in oral function (Figure B).
