The National Culture Collection for Pathogens (NCCP) at the Korea National Institute of Health is collecting, managing, and distributing pathogen resources in order to support public health & medical research and industries by securing and providing  pathogen resources of high quality as the national resource center for human pathogens. In 2018, NCCP collected 398 species 2,264 strains of pathogens.  We newly registered 404 strains (128 species) in the ?Register for Preservation and Management Pathogen Resources?, an increase of 33% compared to the previous year. NCCP has distributed 1,156 strains (108 species) and theses strains were used for educational institutions, health & medical research and industries throughout the year. As of December 31 2018,  NCCP has 23,694 strains of pathogens, and ?Register for Preservation and Management Pathogen Resources? contains registered 3,036 strains (693 species) of pathogen resources. This article introduces the current status of collecting, registering, and distributing the pathogen resources of the NCCP, and we look forward to providing useful information on pathogen resources at NCCP to health & medical researchers and industries.
