Prevalence rates of hypertension(aged 30 years or more), Republic of Korea

During 2007-2016, the age-standardized prevalence rate of hypertension for the Korean population aged 30 years or over increased from 24.5 to 29.1% (4.6%p increase): 26.8 to 35.0% (8.2%p increase) for male and 21.7 to 22.9% (1.2%p increase) for female (Figure A). In 2016, the rate for male was 1.5 times higher than that for female and increased with age (Figure B).
