Comparing the trends of current smoking rates among hypertensive, prehypertensive and normotensive groups, aged 30 years and over, 2007-2016

For the recent decade, the current smoking rate of males has been higher than that of females in all three of the hypertensive, prehypertensive and normotensive groups. In males, the current smoking rate was higher in normotensive group than hypertensive group, but the gap between the two is on decrease. For females, the three groups did not show much difference in current smoking rates (Figure A).
