Seat belt use among Korean adults aged 19 years and over, 2008-2017
Median value for the proportion of rear seat passengers who wear seat belts increased by 5.9%p from 7.8% in 2014 to 13.7% in 2017, but is still very low compared to the values for drivers and/or front seat passengers. Nearly eight out of 10 drivers and front seat passengers wore seat belts in 2017 (Figure A).
