Trends of hypercholesterolemia among Korean adults aged 30 years and over, 2007-2016

Prevalence (age standardized) of hypercholesterolemia among Korean adults aged 30 years and over increased by 9.2%p, from 10.7% in 2007 to 19.9% in 2016 (men showed a 10.0%p increase from 9.3% to 19.3%, and women showed an 8.7%p increase from 11.5% to 20.2%). Both men and women showed increasing tendency and the rates in 2016 were nearly double those of 2007 (Figure A).
