Trends in awareness, treatment, and control of hypercholesterolemia among Korean adults aged 30 years and over, 2007-2016
Awareness, treatment and control of hypercholesterolemia all improved since 2005. In 2016, the percentage of awareness and treatment were 58.4% and 49.1% respectively. The percentage of controlled hypercholesterolemia among those who were on treatment was 82.7%, twice higher than that among all those who had hypercholesterolemia (41.3%) (Figure A).
