Comparison of overweight or obese population among OECD countries in 2016 (or nearest available year)

According to percentages of overweight or obese population compared among OECD countries, in 2016, Korea had second-lowest value of 34.5% following Japan with the lowest value of 25.4%, while France had the third-lowest value of 49.0%. Chile had the highest value of 74.2%, followed by Mexico (72.5%) and United States (71.0%) where 7 out of 10 people were either overweight or obese (Figure A).
