Trends in intake of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverage among Korean, 2007-2016

Because the density of essential nutrients including protein, mineral, and vitamins, compared to energy of beverage is lower than other food groups, many food guides have recommended decreasing the consumption of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverage. During 2007-2016, energy intakes of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverage increased in both men and women (Figure A).
