Comparison of current smoking rates amongst three different groups: those with diabetes, impaired fasting glucose, and normal glucose level, 2007-2016

For the previous 9 years, the current smoking rates amongst the three different groups (those with diabetes, impaired fasting glucose, and normal glucose level) had all been higher in men than in women. The smoking rates were quite high in men, despite the presence of diabetes or impaired fasting glucose (In 2016, the current smoking rate for men with diabetes, and impaired fasting glucose were 36.0%, and 36.1% respectively). In women, there was no significant difference in current smoking rates amongst the three different groups (Figure A).
