Trends of hypercholesterolemia among Korean adults aged 30 years and over, 2007-2016

[정의] 고콜레스테롤혈증 유병률 : 총콜레스테롤이 240 mg/dL 이상이거나 콜레스테롤 강하제를 복용한 분율

만 30세 이상 고콜레스테롤혈증 유병률(연령표준화)은 2007년 10.7%에서 2016년 19.9%로 9.2%p 증가하였음(남자는 9.3%에서 19.3%로 10.0%p 증가하고, 여자는 11.5%에서 20.2%로 8.7%p 증가). 남녀 모두 지속 증가하는 경향을 보였고, 2007년에 비해 2016년에 약 2배 증가하였음(그림 A).

Prevalence (age standardized) of hypercholesterolemia among Korean adults aged 30 years and over increased by 9.2%p, from 10.7% in 2007 to 19.9% in 2016 (men showed a 10.0%p increase from 9.3% to 19.3%, and women showed an 8.7%p increase from 11.5% to 20.2%). Both men and women showed increasing tendency and the rates in 2016 were nearly double those of 2007 (Figure A).
