손상환자 중 개물림 환자율 추이, 2011-2017

Trends in rate of dog-bite injuries treated in Emergency Departments, 2011-2017

응급실을 방문하는 손상환자 중에 개물림으로 인한 환자율이 2017년 8.2명(응급실 손상환자 심층조사에 참여하는 응급실 방문환자 1천 명 당)으로 2011년(5.7명) 대비 1.4배이며, 증가 추세임. 또한 동 조사에 참여하는 응급실을 방문한 동물 물림 환자 중에서 개물림에 의한 환자가 차지하는 비율 또한 증가하고 있음(2011년 73.5%, 2017년 76.1%)(그림 A).

The rate of dog bite injuries (which is the number of dog bite injuries per 1,000 treated at the Emergency Departments participating in the “Emergency Department-based Injury In-depth Surveillance”) was 8.2 in 2017. This equates to the 1.4 times the rate of 5.7 in 2011, and the general trend was on increase. In addition, the proportion of dog bites amongst all anamal-bite injuries treated at emergency departments was also on increase (73.5% in 2011, 76.1% in 2017) (Figure A).
