[정의] 매일흡연율 : 15세 이상 인구 중 매일 담배를 피우는 인구의 비율
2016년 기준 OECD 매일흡연율 비교 결과, 우리나라 남자 매일흡연율은 32.9%로 OECD 회원국 중 네 번째로 높고, 여자의 매일흡연율은 4.1%로 멕시코(3.6%) 다음으로 가장 낮음(그림 A).
According to the OECD health statistics 2018, the average daily smoking rate among 34 member countries was 18.5% (men 23.0%, women 14.4%) as of 2016. The Korea’s daily smoking rate among men was 32.9%, ranking the fourth highest among OECD countries, and the rate among women was 4.1%, the lowest after Mexico (3.6%) (Figure A).
