In 2024, GHSCO conducted two rounds of the Core Personnel Training Program for ASEAN member states. Both sessions were invitational training programs in diagnosis and laboratory sectors. The program included theoretical lectures and practical sessions led by KDCA experts, as well as on-site tours. Participants developed action plans tailored to their home countries based on their learnings.

First Round, June 17th -July 1st 2024

• Event-based surveillance and rapid risk assessment for early detection of overseas infectious diseases
• Laboratory diagnosis of mosquito-borne viral infectious diseases and surveillance of disease-carrying mosquitoes and ticks

Second Round, October 14th - October 25th 2024

Hands-on, skill-based training in KDCA’s key areas of technical expertise received high satisfaction ratings – 95.2% for the first round and 95.4% for the second round.
