KCDC is carrying out projects to improve the public awareness of various diseases for which national-level control is necessary and also to promote strict prevention and control of diseases.
KCDC’s infectious disease control policy focuses on national education and publicity with a goal to encourage the public to maintain safe and hygienic conditions and to voluntarily and autonomously undergo examinations. In particular, to boost the examination rate of high risk and vulnerable groups, the Disease Prevention Center organizes educational and publicity programs by cooperation with civic groups. As such, KCDC plans to promote disease prevention and control projects specialized to each target group.
