What is the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA)?
- An international consultative body launched to jointly respond to health threats since health issues such as emerging infectious diseases (SARS, avian influenza, Ebola, etc.) have emerged as global security threats
- As of '24, more than 70 countries, including the U.S.A., Korea, Japan, the UK, France, and Germany, and 12 international organizations and NGOs, including the WHO and the WB, are participating.

- An organization established to support and coordinate the strengthening of multi-sectoral capacities of GHSA [Global Health Security Agenda] member countries and countries with vulnerable health systems Establishment in Korea (within the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency) was announced (December '23) on the occasion of the ROK-U.S. Summit (May '22) and the 7th GHSA Ministerial Meeting (November '22)

Major Tasks of the Global Health Security Coordination Office (GHSCO)
Planning and operating education and training programs for capacity building in countries with vulnerable health systems, carrying out promotional activities and network building related to global health security, and supporting GHSA operations

| International cooperation | Participation in the WHO-led expert meeting on urban health crisis preparedness, the summer academic conference of the Korean Association of International Development and Cooperation, the 2024 GHS Conference, the WHO-led General Assembly of the Alliance for Healthy Cities, etc. |
| External Public Relations | Publication of newsletters on global trends, issues, etc., to raise interest in and understanding of health security, shared with domestic and international related organizations |
