To provide continued treatment support for individuals with HIV to prevent transmission to others and support health management, and to support the prevention of HIV infection in healthcare workers exposed to newborns born to HIV-infected mothers and the blood of individuals with HIV
Target and content
- The patient co-pay for medical benefits related to HIV treatment for individuals diagnosed with HIV and registered as blind
- Costs for HIV prevention medication and HIV testing for newborns born to HIV-infected mothers
- The patient co-pay for medical benefits related to post-exposure prophylaxis for healthcare workers exposed to the blood of individuals with HIV during medical procedures
Support period
- Support starts from the date of referral for HIV confirmatory testing.
- If diagnosed during hospitalization, support begins from the date of admission.
- For anonymous reporters, support begins from the date of application for real name conversion.
